The Solution for Soil Stabilization, Pipelines, and Other Geotechnical
Geolok™ is a low-exothermic spray foam designed to stabilize pipelines,
manage erosion, and minimize runoff and washout. In areas where falling
rock is a concern, Geolok can be applied to create a rock shield, which
is a large area sprayed over pipes to protect the pipeline during construction
and throughout the backfill process. Geolok is a 2 pound density foam
with an R-value of 7.36 at 1 inch, and will hold pipelines in place and
provide support during the construction process.
The common practice of laying sandbags during pipeline construction can
create hazardous situations for workers if they enter the trench and are
working on uneven terrain to navigate the pipeline. Geolok is a more efficient
application for trench breakers, pillow pads, and rock guards. In addition,
safety concerns are minimized since it only takes two workers to apply
Geolok – one behind the spray gun, and another to manage the back
of the rig. Compared to a multi-man crew of workers needed for the difficult
manual labor of laying sandbags, Geolok is a much more efficient, less
Additional Geolok benefits:
- Install more pipe pillows and rock shields faster.
- Higher-efficiency – only a 2-man crew is needed vs. a 6-10-man crew.
- Diverts water for erosion control.
- Preserves pipeline integrity.
- Fast, durable application.
- No break down once backfilled.
