As an airtight vapour barrier and insulation, HEATLOK® SOYA promotes energy efficiency and creates a clean, safe and healthy interior. The installation of just 75 mm of HEATLOK® SOYA can reduce up to 50 percent of the energy used for heating and cooling a building. So contractors can use HVAC equipment that is up to 40 percent smaller to heat and cool the same amount of space. By stopping air and vapor from permeating the walls, HEATLOK® SOYA prevents the growth of mold and mildew in the exterior walls.

Once installed, HEATLOK® SOYA maintains its performance because it never deteriorates or decomposes. In some cases, HEATLOK® SOYA’s R-6 Long Term design thermal value may allow contractors and builders to qualify for additional credits through the Canadian Green Building rating system.
